1954 Tonka Toys Number 500 Livestock Van Semi Truck
The 1954 Tonka Toys Cab over design was unique in 1954 because the lower portion of the doors did not have the rolled out lip that was seen in the 1955, 1956, and 1957 round fendered models like this one. This is a very attractive Livestock truck with opening rear door that acts as a ramp for loading cattle and other pretend "Livestock".
The 1954 and 1955 Trucks had a simple but elegant front Bumper/Grill assembly that was held in place by the two headlights. These are easily removed to clean the grill and truck separately giving the truck a fresh factory look without modifying anything. This truck is 100% original as shown.
This front shot really shows the beauty of these terrific toys trucks, it is no wonder they have become a popular item to collect. I am looking for Vintage tonka toy trucks in terrific condition like this one.
