1958 Tonka Blue Pickup Truck Number 02 with Box
The 1958 Tonka Toys Pickup is a real beauty. This is the last year Tonka Toy would put chanin on the rear of the tailgate on their pickup trucks. This Stepside truck with 4 equal lines on the top of the hood has a great look. The front bumper is held in place by the four snap in headlights, the bumer is rivited to the turck and the grill has the "T" in the center. The only window in the 1958 Tonka Trucks was the front windshield. Side and rear windows would not be added until 1965.
The size of these trucks and their terrific detail have made them very popular to collect today, and this dark blue ecample is one that belongs in every collection! I cleaned and polished this all origianl truck, even down to polishing the small chain on the tailgate.
